Nationally recognized painter Ron Hicks has shown his work with the gallery since its opening in 2005. Well known for his painterly style and unique palette of browns and greys that somehow create space, emotion and depth, Hicks ability as a figurative artist is legendary. Beginning in the late nineties after a series of successful exhibitions in Denver at UHL Gallery he began exhibiting at the legendary ARCADIA gallery in SOHO New York City. A series of exhibitions established his reputation in the New York art world. Hicks original style combined elements of seventeenth century Dutch masters with nineteenth century American and French painters to produce unique contemporary works with narrative elements conveying deep, unresolved emotion in solo and multiple figure compositions. His most recent work has evolved to include broad passages of abstraction in combination with figurative elements. This stylistic metamorphosis has garnered critical acclaim and renewed interest in his work. In addition to multiple one-man exhibitions at the gallery, Ron has exhibited at the Salon d'Arts Denver, the Coors Western Art Show in Denver, the L.A. Art Show, Art Miamia, and at SCOPE International Art Fair (2018, 2019). His art is in private and corporate collections worldwide.
